“The very idea of opening गृहCOM came into existence during the first lockdown announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. While the lockdown was announced we the core team of गृहCOM were shopping in malls / kirana stores / mom and pop stores, etc. and like any other family were shopping and hoarding eatables (all types) without even thinking whether we need to buy it or not inspite of being told by Hon’ble Prime Minister not to hoard the eatables and buy as you buy normally.

Then came the very idea of delivering food products / ready to eat – namkeens and snacks to munch during this time as most of the families were at home and everyone can sit together and have the food and tea. .

As soon as we started researching on the food industry and the deliveries to be done, we decided to take into confidence all Small and Medium Enterprises who are able to sell their products in local market but neither can advertise nor can expand due to various reasons like no know how, issues related to finances, no marketing team, etc.

Now the team of गृहCOM started visiting these manufacturers and it was noticed that if गृहCOM and deliver their products to the end customer the manufacturers can not only make new products but also increase their market share and reach. And hence it was decided by Team गृहCOM that we open such a proprietary concern which can take all these vendors and create a small platform for manufacturers and deliver the same to end consumer. Accordingly, it was decided by the management team to pilot with the city of Devbhoomi (from where the yatra of chardham starts) – “Dehradun”.

To act on our plan we have initiated the following:

1. Meet the Manufacturer.
2. Understand products Manufactured
3. Create Taste for the products.
4. Create right Costing.
5. Compliance (food and drug license, GST registration, all other permits as per Government).
6. Packaging of Material to be sold.
7. Delivery mode and module.

Once all this was in place गृहCOM started meeting all the manufacturers and started making agreements with all the vendors so that the supply side tie ups are in place before the launch. If all this goes as per plan we as management team of गृहCOM will be able to implicate the same module in all Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities and expand our base and reach.
